Why is my mental health important
Mental health is an aspect of health that gets stigmatized 😔so often in our society. If someone is having a mental health issue, they are less likely to get help because of that stigma which leads to shame
But in this century we are,there’s nothing to be ashamed of because the chemical and hormones that goes around the brain is not anybody's fault but the knowledge of what can cause it not to work or diminished it function need to be known .Hence,there is need for knowing the importance of mental health.
According to CDC,mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make healthy choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood.
💧Mental Health Affects Physical Health.
Mental and physical health are equally important components of overall health because both can greatly influence one another that is if one's mental health is jeopardized, then the physical health also is not safe.. For example, depression and schizophrenia increases the risk for many types of physical health problems, particularly long-lasting conditions like diabetes mellitus, heart disease. Similarity, the presence of chronic conditions can increase the risk for mental illness.
To maintain a proper physical wellness,mental health should be taken care of.
💧A sound mental health enables us to adapt to the changes in the life. To be mentally aware and psychologically prepared for the challenges of life help to the mind to have the capacity to cope and easily adapt to unpleasant situation before a way out is found.
💣💧Good mental health equips people with the ability to effectively deal with stress, and maintain stability in relationships. In Erik Ericson Intimacy versus Isolation stage of psychosocial development which happens between the age of 20-35 is when people begins to have close,committed and sincere relationship and this is simply because of the state of the mind which is sound but a person having a poor sense of self due to a poor mental status tend to have less committed relationship and more likely to suffer emotional problem.
💧Mental health is important because it enables one to face concentrate better on important things that is productive.
In summary,a good mental health help us to be 👇
