  World mental health day Theme:Make mental health for all a global priority.    The world mental health day was first observed on the 10th October,1992 by a group of professional under the umbrella of world Federation of Mental health (WFMH). World Mental Health Day is celebrated on the 10th of October and this year's theme is  ‘Make Mental Health & Well-Being for All a Global Priority’. This theme was chosen by a global vote that was open to the public, including WFMH members, stakeholders, and supporters . The World Health Organization (WHO) conceptualizes mental health as a “state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community”. Early warning signs of mental problems Feeling sad or down Confused thinking or reduced ability to concentrate Excessive fears or worries, or extreme feelings of guilt Extreme mood changes of highs and lows Withdrawal from friends and activities Significant tiredness, low energy or problems sleeping Detachment from reality (delusions), paranoia or hallucinations Inability to cope with daily problems or stress Trouble understanding and relating to situations and to people Problems with alcohol or drug use Major changes in eating habits Suicidal thinking Comment is open for questions⬇️

  So it's mental health week When people with mental illness will be given attention to When people can hear and maybe try to understand. They might understand what we go through  and try to intervene in ways they can and hear out But sometimes it's too late and they start to point fingers 1 in 4 people will have issues with thier mental health Irrespective of your status or wealth Mental health does not discriminate and it's not determined by fate . Some think it's spiritual,other thought it's karma but it can happen to anyone. So,we need to open our eye,listen to those silent cries Look for the need of hope ,help when people can't cope Reach out a helping hand,try to understand Share a caring word that is soothing to the soul Let us reduce the stigma because it's hinders solution Mental health is not an enigma,it can happen to anyone of us So let us stand up and create more awareness It is unacceptable in this day and age, that we don't engage and talk...

IS MENTAL HEALTH THE SAME AS MENTAL FITNESS

  What exactly is mental fitness, and how does it feel to be mentally fit? Mental fitness can be defined as having the skills and practices to improve and sustain one's own state of well-being and perform at best. It involves being aware of how you think, behave and respond to situation.  Mental fitness is more than the absence of mental illness.  It's about growth and thinking, feeling, and performing at your best in all areas of your life. Mental fitness is developed by equipping people to treat mental health as something that they can strengthen and improve by making it priority.  Mental fitness embraces the idea that individuals can develop a positive mental state that exceeds being “fine.” When you are mentally fit, you feel fully functional and confident of your ability to affect your own state. It isn’t that you feel “happy” all the time or that you are never sad but when you dip into not knowing what to do, you don’t panic, and you don’t stay there very long....
